A former Police Surgeon, Dr.
Bickerton was trained in forensic psychiatry and now
is a member of the Parole Board.
Dr Bickerton has a reporting
track record at the highest level, able to provide
comprehensive yet concise, professional reports
within clear deadlines. He is fully aware of the
requirements of reporting for criminal and civil
proceedings, occupational matters and risk analyses.
With a background in general
practice, forensic and liaison psychiatry, Dr David
Bickerton has a comprehensive set of competencies
and expert knowledge suitable for a range of
instructions within a broad base of client need.

The hourly rate
for preparing medico-legal reports is £125 per hour
plus VAT. Fees are charged strictly on a pro-rata
basis.
Interviews with patients are generally for 1- 2
hours. The typical period of reading and abstracting
material from supplied documentation is 1-3 hours,
and after this, 2-3 hours is spent in preparing and
redrafting the final report.
An average report would be about 5 hours of work,
incurring a fee of £625 (plus VAT).
Shorter or longer pieces of work are charged
accordingly.
Cancellation Fee for Medico-Legal Assessments: The
fee charged for a patient not attending with less
than 24 hours assessment is for the full 2 hours of
the planned interview time. Where it is possible to
reschedule other clinical work to fill this time
then the fee is reduced proportionately. |
