Fees for Medico Legal Reports

The hourly rate for preparing medico-legal reports is £125 per hour plus VAT. Fees are charged strictly on a pro-rata basis.

Interviews with patients are generally for 1- 2 hours. The typical period of reading and abstracting material from supplied documentation is 1-3 hours, and after this, 2-3 hours is spent in preparing and redrafting the final report.

An average report would be about 5 hours of work, incurring a fee of £625 (plus VAT).

Shorter or longer pieces of work are charged accordingly.

Cancellation Fee for Medico-Legal Assessments: The fee charged for a patient not attending with less than 24 hours assessment is for the full 2 hours of the planned interview time. Where it is possible to reschedule other clinical work to fill this time then the fee is reduced proportionately.
