We undertake approximately 300 medico-legal assessments a year relating to regulatory, criminal and civil matters. Approximately 100 of these are criminal cases with an approximate split of 55% defence, 35% crown and 10 % joint. Civil cases amount to approximately two hundred cases per year made up of 60% claimant, 20% joint and 20% defendant.

Dr David Bickerton

I am a consultant psychiatrist, specialising in the outpatient treatment of all forms of adult mental disorder.

I originally trained at the University of Birmingham and qualified in 1982. I then trained on the University of Exeter Vocational Training Scheme becoming a principal in general practice in 1987.
​​​​​​​During this time, I was the deputy police surgeon to Exeter ‘D’ Division, as well as the visiting medical officer to HM Prison Exeter.

In 2000 I commenced training in psychiatry, working in North Devon, Plymouth, Cornwall and Exeter hospitals, obtaining membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2003, completing my post-graduate psychiatric training in 2006. From 2006 to 2015 I was a full-time NHS consultant in psychiatry, specialising in adult primary care liaison psychiatry.

I am a GMC health examiner and performance assessor as well as consultant to the Medical Protection Society. I undertake a wide range of medical expert work especially with health regulatory bodies. I was a member of the First Tier Tribunal until 2017 and a member of the Parole Board 2008-2011.

I am a consultant psychiatrist, specialising in the outpatient treatment of all forms of adult mental disorder.

I am a qualified and registered specialist in psychiatry with fourteen years’ experience at consultant level in the NHS.

I am trained and experienced in general adult psychiatry, with significant experience also in forensic psychiatry. I have prepared medico-legal reports for over fifteen years, including three years at senior registrar level.

I am fully registered for continuing professional development with the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and I am Section 12 Approved under The Mental Health Act (2007). I have extensive clinical experience of a wide range of mental health presentations in a wide range of settings and especially in community based mental health including occupational, forensic and drug related work.

Helen Mattacott

I am in charge of administration, client liaison and report submission.

I am qualified in coaching and behavioural profiling as well as business administration.

Having worked internationally for many years promoting communication and interpersonal understanding, I set up this company in 2003.
